Sipcam Agro Boosts Portfolio With Two Proven Fungicides.
Durham, NC — This season, sugarbeet growers have unprecedented options for battling Cercospora leaf spot (CLS), as Sipcam Agro expands its portfolio with two new fungicides.
New Miramar™ fungicide — with the active ingredient thiophanate methyl — is an exceptional tank-mix option in an easy-to-handle flowable formula. A highly efficient fungicide, Miramar also protects new growth from disease development.
New Spinnaker — a copper-based fungicide/bactericide — delivers superior disease control with lower metallic use rates, superior coverage and rainfastness. Growers will also benefit from its outstanding dry flowable formulation, which can be mixed and used along with most insecticides, fungicides and foliar nutrients.
“Miramar and Spinnaker position Sipcam Agro to provide U.S. sugar beet growers with affordable, proven and powerful fungicide options,” says Giovanni Mattaini, Sipcam Agro’s vice president of Regulatory, Development and Industrial Sales. “Miramar’s systemic mode of action is particularly effective on a wide range of diseases. Likewise, Spinnaker controls a wide range of bacterial diseases and fungal pathogens.”
“With these five products, Sipcam Agro is primed to take on Cercospora leaf spot in 2019,” says Mattaini. “More important, American sugarbeet growers can feel confident knowing that every product in the portfolio is supported by universities, coops, dealers, and of course, sugar companies.”
