Investment for Growth in USA and Canada
December 6, 2023 (DURHAM, N.C.) — Sipcam Agro USA, Inc., the US affiliate of Milan, Italy-based Sipcam Oxon S.p.A., is proud to announce the acquisition of Waynesboro, Mississippi-based Odom Industries assets including plants, with formulation, packaging and warehousing. Odom Industries was founded in 1989 by Donald D. Odom, Sr. and W. R. Odom, Sr. The company includes two operating facilities, in Waynesboro and Pachuta, Mississippi and a large storage warehouse in Shubuta, Mississippi. The combined facilities have over 320,000 square feet of production and warehousing capability, located on 40 acres. This new business will be operated by Sipcam Agro Solutions, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sipcam Agro USA, Inc.
Sipcam Agro is back integrated with group partners in numerous active Ingredients (AI’s) globally, with synthesis and formulation plants in a number of countries. With the USA and Canada targeted as the next growth countries, Sipcam is investing heavily in new solutions for Crop Protection and Turf and Ornamental (T&O) markets to deliver new products to the market and now will have domestic formulation and packaging capabilities.

This acquisition will enable Sipcam Agro to be fully integrated from the synthesis through formulation and packaging to make the end use product. Sipcam will focus on being a high-quality, competitively priced, and reliable supplier of crop protection and Turf and Ornamental products and the acquisition will allow closer partnerships with key customers.
“We will continue custom tolling with our existing customer base and plan to expand the facility in Waynesboro to accommodate all of Sipcam’s additional volumes,” said Brent Marek, CEO and COO of Sipcam Agro USA. “We expect to invest heavily in plant expansions over the next two years, giving us increased efficiencies, production output and a new fungicide plant.”
